Troubleshooting

Unhandled Exception

Typically this error is seen when you try to save or compile a map, but the program doesn't have local administrative rights. Below is a screenshot of the error you might see. Taken on a Windows 10 Pro machine.

To fix this problem, you need to right click on the executable file, go to properties, select compatibility tab, then change for all users to have it run as administrator.

DatEdit

Unit

The initial tab when you open DatEdit is the Unit tab. This contains all of the units within the game, and you can click on them in one of two different ways. Either with the icons in the upper left, or the list in the lower left.

Changes throughout the list that are no longer the default are displayed in red, whereas the units that remain unchanged show as white.

Basic

The basic tab has exactly what you'd think it would have - the basic unit information. Below is a screenshot of what you can expect to see; and then we'll go over what each value means.
